The founder of WT Chen & Company, an information technology consulting firm based in Maynard, Mass., Mr. Wayne Chen has a proven track record in finding new ways information technology can respond to business challenges. His company has received numerous honors, including the Small Business Administration’s Minority Small Business Graduate of the Year Award and Administrator’s Award for Excellence.

As founder and chairman of the IGES board of directors, Mr. Chen guides the efforts of the Institute and looks to apply information and space technology to challenges associated with global environmental change and sustainable development. Having spent the early part of his career as a manager at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Mr. Chen maintains a special interest in technology transfer and remote sensing activities.
